Adding UTM Parameters

Track link clicks in your favorite analytics, including Google Analytics.

Make sure you're signed up for Campsite Pro to use the UTM parameters feature.

What are UTM Parameters?

UTM parameters are a set of tags that can be added to the end of your URLs to track promotional efforts or conversions. When someone clicks a link with these tags attached, it helps analytics software like Google Analytics, track information such as where a user came from and what content they've interacted with. Below is an example:

Setting them up on Campsite.bio

Campsite.bio takes all the hard work out of UTM parameters by setting them for you on each link URL. When turned on, it will default to showing your Campsite.bio traffic as "Social" instead of "Referral" in Google Analytics.

This is what most people would expect traffic from Campsite.bio to show as because the traffic would be coming from social sources like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

To turn it on, head over to the settings page and scroll down to the "Analytics" section. Toggle the "Enable UTM Parameters" button, and you'll be all set!
